Davison and Ward Financial Advisors is the combination of the financial practices of Jim Davison CFP, CLU, Ch.F.C. and Gary Ward, CFP, CLU, Ch.F.C.
Located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, together with a history of over 30 years in the financial services industry, we pride ourselves in the personalized attention we give to our clients in providing financial solutions to assist in achieving financial and risk management goals.

Gary is a graduate of Dalhousie University; earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1997; and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1998. With over 23 years of Financial Service Industry experience, Gary offers independent advice to families, business owners, and professionals in investment management (including RSP’s), life insurance, retirement and estate planning, charitable gifting strategies, employee benefits and Group RSP’s. Gary works with, and is a sponsor of, several community-based organizations.

Jim started in the business in 1996 as part of an agency sales force of a major insurance company. He has completed the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (Ch.F.C.)
industry designations and has expanded his practice though
the purchases of two retiring advisor’s businesses. Jim
is licensed for all of Nova Scotia though primarily services the
Halifax Regional Municipality, Clare Shore, Truro, South and South
West regions.

Debbie Macdonald, FLMI
Marketing Associate
Debbie has 35 years in the insurance industry and has worked in many capacities including prior to this position, the business manager of a major insurance company. She obtained the Fellow Life Management Institute (FLMI)
designation. Debbie works primarily with Jim though is a resource for the entire office.

Janice Walsh-Ward
Marketing Associate
Janice retired from a fulfilling career in the Federal Public Service in 2005. She joined her husband’s business practice in 2006, as the Administrative Assistant. Janice is interested in the financial service industry and works with Gary to provide a high quality, responsive service to all clients.
